Krishna C. Murthy, M.D., F.A.A.A.A.I.
Dr. Krishna Murthy is the senior physician at Northern Colorado Allergy & Asthma Clinic, joining
the practice in 1980. Dr. Murthy is board certified by the American Board of Allergy and
Immunology and the American Academy of Pediatrics. He earned his medical degree at Mysore
University. He completed a pediatric residency in Pondicherry, India, then moved to Detroit,
Michigan where he completed a pediatric residency, followed by a pediatric and adult fellowship
in Allergy and Immunology at the Henry Ford Hospital. Dr. Murthy is a fellow of both the
American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology, and the American College of Allergy,
Asthma, and Immunology. He is also a member of the Colorado Medical Society and the Larimer
County Medical Society. Dr. Murthy believes in the importance of patient education and
individualized care and takes the time to carefully listen to the patient’s concerns.
Dr. Murthy is past-President of the Larimer Medical Society and is the current
President of the Colorado Allergy and Asthma Society. Dr. Murthy maintains
academic appointment at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center as an Associate
Professor of Medicine.
In his free time, he enjoys jogging, biking, hiking. His volunteer activities include a free
flu vaccine program for needy individuals and many local and international service projects
coordinated by the Ft. Collins Breakfast Rotary Club.

Vel Kailasam, M.D., F.A.A.A.
Dr. Vel Kailasam joined Northern Colorado Allergy & Asthma Clinic in 1985 and is board certified
by the American Board of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Kailasam received his medical degree and
completed a residency in dermatology at the University of Madras, India. Upon moving to Flint,
Michigan, he completed a residency was board certified in Internal Medicine. He then completed
a fellowship in allergy and asthma at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Dr. Kailasam
treats pediatric and adult patients with allergies and asthma as well as patients with various
skin problems such as eczema, hives, acne, and rosacea.
Dr. Kailasam is a Fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology.
He is also a member of the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, Colorado
Allergy Society and the Colorado Medical Society. He is also an affiliate member of the
American Academy of Dermatology and is a FAA Flight Eximiner.
In his free time, Dr. Kailasam enjoys spending time with his family and enjoys photography,
and tennis. He is working to improve his fluency in Spanish and volunteers at the Monfort
Children’s Clinic in Greeley to serve underprivileged pediatric patients. He has worked with
the Rotary Club to conduct asthma camps for needy patients in India. Dr. Kailasam believes in
providing the best quality of care to his patients with allergy, immunological, and
dermatological problems.

William Lanting, M.D., F.A.A.A.A.I., F.A.A.P.
Dr. William Lanting joined Northern Colorado Allergy and Asthma Clinic in 1999. Dr. Lanting
believes in educating patients about their disease process so that they can prevent or control
their symptoms and lead a normal, symptom-free life. His fluency in Spanish allows Northern
Colorado Allergy and Asthma to provide Spanish speaking patients with a high quality of care.
Dr. Lanting is a national speaker and enjoys training primary care physicians in Northern
Colorado and across the country.
He is certified by the American Board of Allergy and
Immunology as well as the American Academy of Pediatrics. After practicing 10 years as a
family physician, he completed his Pediatric residency at the Miami Children’s Hospital
and his fellowship in allergy, asthma and immunology at National Jewish Center for Immunology and
Respiratory Medicine in Denver Colorado.
Dr. Lanting has a passion for travel and parachuting. He has traveled to 45 countries,
5 continents and all 50 states.
